If you've been bouldering a while and have been dying to get out onto real rock, look no further this is the course for you. Once you've completed it you'll know the basics which will allow you to follow other experienced leaders either at inside or outside venues.

- An understanding of the basic equipment you'll need to climb safely.
- How to tie in correctly with the industry standard knots.
- What a buddy check is and how to complete them and why they're important.
- How to correctly load a belay plate, it's purpose and how to use it.
- The different types of top-rope setups you might see at a crag or an indoor wall.
- What leading is and how it works.
- How to follow a route and remove the gear.
- Some basic movement skills to help you transfer from indoor bouldering to outdoor rock.
- What are the environmental factors you'll need to consider when visiting outdoor crags.
