Where do you work?
We're based in north Somerset, UK. But we can work anywhere in the UK. We run courses mainly in the South-west and Wales.
What Qualifications do you hold?
I hold the Mountain Leader Summer award and am a Trainee member of the Association of Mountain Instructors, #57222. I am currently training for the Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor award.
How fit do I need to be to attend a course?
That all depends on the course you want to attend. Each course description gives an indicator of the level you need to have, but if you are unsure or have different requirements, get in contact with us to discuss your needs.
Is there a minimum age for participation?
Any minor, i.e. an under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The adult does not have to participate but must be in attendance.
How do you support women in the mountain environment?
We are particularly keen to provide a supportive environment for women. Currently women instructors are under represented, making it tricky to find women only groups. Therefore we aim to be as supportive as we can, and if you would like to attend a women only course, please contact us and I can make sure that you will be in a group with other appropriate attendees and instructors.
Single Clients
You'll notice that we have single client prices on each course. This is so that should you want your instructors undivided attention, you can have it. Naturally we have to charge more for that service. However if you want to book onto a course already running to receive the reduced multiparticipant rate, go to the booking page, specify the course you would like to attend, then look through the dates for a course which shows participants have already booked onto the course e.g. 2/6 or 5/6. Then contact us and we will book you onto that course.
Do I need prior experience to attend a course?
We aim to make our courses as inclusive as possible. On some courses it's really useful to have prior experience and where this is the case we will include this in our course notes. Nearly all our courses can be bolted together to make a higher value course which will get you the experience you need to have your own adventures.
